Courtyard Shelton Hotel, Shelton

The hotel had clean and comfortable rooms with a convenient pool open until late. However, there was a mix-up with our booked room, which was a bit disappointing. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making our stay pleasant. The location was great, but some minor inconveniences like the lack of self-serve coffee were noticeable. The dining experience was good but a bit overpriced for what was offered.

The hotel is conveniently located in the Shelton area with easy access to business and vacation spots. The rooms are of sufficient size but may be noisy due to their proximity to the elevator and the ice machine. The service is outstanding, with staff members going above and beyond to ensure a relaxing stay. The dining options are quick and decent, although slightly overpriced. However, the location has some drawbacks, such as being between the wedding guest parking and noisy construction vehicles. Despite these minor inconveniences, the hotel offers a clean and comfortable stay with great amenities for a business or vacation trip.

Checking into our room at 10:20 as part of a wedding block of rooms, I found it to be right at eye level. The room was much smaller than what I wanted and not as clean as expected. However, the service over the phone at the Courtyard Marriott in Shelton, CT was very nice. The location had been kept clean and easily accessible by car, close to New Haven and the Merritt Parkway. In terms of dining, I was turned away from enjoying breakfast and disappointed that it wasn't free, not even a coffee.
